    Default Car Pass Delivery...

Has anyone had to order a car pass for their car from VX? Does it seriously take 7-10 DAYS!

I bought my car tax online YESTERDAY and it came today! (Which was still £210 WHOOOH!) Why does it take so long!? Anyone had this experience?

Sorry, I'm just very impatient as I'm trying to get my CID fitted. LOL.

Deliveries in the UK at the moment seem to be very much hit and miss
Royal Mail in Scotland is about 1 day behind, but anything across the UK seems to be taking between 3 and 10 days longer than normal

I had an item due Royal Mail Special Delivery Next Day and it took 4 days, with a red sticker on it "delayed by 48 hours - submit this sticker"

Pardon my ignorance, but how vital is having the carpass (is it more than just the audio code?). I dont have one for my 04 vectra (recently purchased) and wondered about changing the battery in the future etc. Also, how much does it cost approximately. Thanks for any replies.

you will need the car pass for programming new keys, installing most of the electrical items etc so yes it is important,if you have the original radio i would recomend you get the serial no off the side of the radio incase the radio has been changed.

as to price anywhere between £17 to £30,some dealers do rip people off

its a rip off that you have to pay for it in the first place. if you take all your documents in to prove you own the car it should be free as it is with some other motor companys thats what i think anyway
