Default 1.9 CDTI intake airflow problem

    Hy all.

I've done some test runs with the car and OPEL SCANER and I thinck something is not right:

    pick-up from 2-nd gear

acc from 2-nd gear and changed 3-rd

3-rd and then changed to 4-th

the blue line is the air intake sensor.
Why does it fluctuate like that?

    red line is accelerator pedal
green is EGR comand 100% -> closed
    black is torque sensor

Do you have a K&N filter fitted?

    Is your air filter clean?

Maybe they all do that! ?

The air filter is a mann-filter paper and it's clean.

Even if they all do that it's not normal..maybe we can improve something

You could run the same tests using different filters or even no filter, different intakes,no intakes,no filter box, larger filter box, cooler air, warmer air,no mesh grilles on the MAF etc, etc, etc.

You could then maybe have a straight line where once there was a squiggly line, but you may still not notice any difference in the way the car drives!
