I think mine has been unchanged for 128000 miles. Not good.

It'll be done as soon as I have some money.

changed mine at 40K, just to be safe - think the handbook said 60K but can't be 100% on that, didn't want to risk 60K

Ive just logged in after a very long time and have been looking through my old posts and found this one.

I have only just had my timing belt changed that weekend just gone.....57k miles and the mechanic said it was all cracked and could have went anytime .

the 1.8 vvt sri handbook says 100k miles but im not trusting it, the water pump on the vvt engine is not driven by the timing belt, its on the auxilary belt

Which engine you got? The Z18XE is 6 years or 60k, the Z18XER(vvt) is 10 years or 100k.
