    Default A Bad One

Well it looks like i bought a bad one, had the car two weeks.

    Car is a 04 SRI 1.9 CDTI (150)
    It needs:

    New manifold + swirl valves
    New EGR
    New alternator
    DMF is noisy
    Rear Suspension
    2 New tyres
    Water temp sensor

Not happy, car is under warranty from garage but im pretty sure they wont sort all of them out.

    Jeez that's quite some list!

That's the thing that worries me with buying cars that don't come with a manufacturers warranty and just imagine if you found all that outside your dealer 3 month or so warranty!

Sometimes buying a cheaper car and then all the repairs needed means you could have bought a better car in the first place!

Too bad mate, I hope you get it sorted

I had the same kind of trouble

Bought a 2.2 Elegance, it needed:

    Front springs
    Tie rod Ends
    rear upper arms
    ARB bushes
    Drop links
    and alternator.

Luckily I bought a 12 monyh RAC warranty when I bought it, it didn't cover all items but at least I didn't have to pay for it all!!

Sorry to hear that. Hope you get it fixed. I read a post a couple of weeks ago about someone asking for advice on a spanner light and whether it was anything to worry about (prior to the person buying it) and I recall a number of people advised to walk away from it. Knowing what I know now about the 1.9 CDTi (150), I would probs not buy another. Touch wood I have had no probls. so far but I always feel they are round the next corner. Mondeo for me next I think.

You will have rights under the sale of goods act as you have only had the car for two weeks.
