    Default injector #3 Issue?

    Need some advice chaps.

    My Vec has been a tiny bit lumpy on first startup of late which I put down to the weather. It is only for a few moments and then it clears.

    Then yesterday after a long drive back from the SE, [through some awful weather] and after a faultless 3 hours run on the m/way at a steady 75, it had a bit of a moment. I had come off the M/way, dropped a mate off and then was on my way home via the back doubles at a steady 40mph when it started coughing and juddering. At the next T junc I knocked it out of drive and revved it hard a few times and it seemed to clear it.

    Bit of crap in the system perhaps or injector #3 lead breaking down do you think? I did scrape out a load of crud from the inlet manifold when I cleaned out the EGR the other week and I was wondering if I might have disturbed some crud which got sucked into the injectors or summat.

    No spanner or anything. Ideas?

    Probably the faulty #3 injector loom problem. Isn't there a recall for that, or am I imagining that?

    Don't think there is a recall. there is a repair kit though which I have bought. Dunno how to fit the damn thing though and it involves electrics - not my strong point....

    When i had a fault with the No3 Injector i got a spanner light on all 3 occasions it went faulty, not sure about everyone else though but i would guess it should have thrown something up

    Thanks for that. I haven't had any spanners up and it hasn't repeated itself since the other night either so perhaps it was just a bit of clag in the system.

    Would be nice to swap this injector lead over though seeing as I have bought the part to do the job proactively.

    All the gear, no idea!!
