    Default Headlight Condensation

Anyone know how to get rid of condensation that is forming in my XP headlights?

Vauxhall do not want to know! Even if under warranty!

i have the same in my headlights....i hate it, just had my mot and the tester said as long as it doesn't affect the light its ok.

to remove the condensation i don't think you can permanently without replacing the unit..... but for a quick fix you can use a hair dryer.

also with headlights on it clears up.

    hope this helps a bit.

i have the same problem, what i did was get a packet of silica gel and put that in the back of the light. The problem has now gone. If this does come back i will just pop a new one in, hope this helps.

they will need removing and drying properly as per the silica gel - very good and cheap idea.

turning your lights on works like a kettle - heats up the water- turns into vapor and eventually when cold returns to its normal state -condensation returns !!
be careful not to overheat if you use a hairdryer - you couls melt the seals and subsequently they will leak even more !

Yes very very annoying. Best thing I've ever done is to remove the headlight take off all the covers an remove all bulbs, empty any water out and leave it on top of your engine when its hot! Works great!! Close the bonnet so your light doesnt fall and crack, because that would be even more annoying!!!
