19" Ruined:

Well yesterday morning i was travelling along the main road which is also used for the road into the quarry,which is just off it.It was about 4.30am
I was doing about 50 mph when a car pulled out on me a black punto with about 10 mtres to spair so to deviate out of his way before i hit the ******** up the back end i overtook him.No probs but in my path was a block of concrete about the size of a house brick,Bang my wheel on the left side front hit it at the above speed and this is whats the out come one knackered wheel.
i'm gonna speek to some one about repair,but if i can't then its a new wheel and tyre for me.
It's cracked the inside of the rim.

Back to my 17's for now they were wrapped up in the shed,so i'm glad i kept them.

Ouchies!!! Aaawww, Nick - what a mess!!! Could have been so much worse tho' - at least it was a wheel - if you hadn't been able to nip past him, could have been much nastier

I'm gutted so gutted more exspence but i might leave them of get them refurbed back to glorious quality and the put them on in time for PVS and the other shows.

this way i'm reducing the risk of anything happening to them again

I'd have a chat with the quarry owner about them letting a vehicle with an insecure load leave the site.

All Vehicles should be checked and covered before leaving any quarry or similair. If it was a house brick sized lump then I would doubt very much if it was caught between the rear twin wheels, it must have come from on top.

Nightmare.

This is the reason I'm still rolling on 16s - the roads around N. Ireland are shocking, and the streets in Belfast are worse. In fact, the 16s are even a bit too low profile for my liking with 205/50-16 rubber, but so far so good.
