    Default Boot Release

My dad has just bought a new silver lightning SRI NAV 1.9 CDTI Auto Xpac Hatch with 19in snowflakes (that's a lot to type) It looks fab (not bad for a 78 year old boy racer). He's having trouble opening the boot, he often just gets a whirring noise and it won't release. I have the SRI estate and I know the number plate lights have to be lit before it will open, is the hatch the same? Also my key fob has a seperate boot release symbol but his doesn't?

    Any ideas???

mine does that if it hasn't been shut properly, but only very rarely. I usually just push it down then re-open it

Mine does it too. Just push down on the boot lid and try again.

    Default

    Open the boot
There is a small round rubber cover
Remove this and insert a screwdriver and this releases the latch
    Replace the cover
Close the boot, and the system will resynchronise
