Blimey - what can I say?!?!!?!
What a belting day we've all had - thanks so much to all of you who came from near and far to join in our family day out - this is just the kind of thing we want for the club
The day started bright and early just up the road from Drinky Towers where we all met at the local Indian restaurant. Once we were all present and correct, we set off for the Ice Cream Farm - not an immediate choice for a Sunday morning at -2degrees, but a big success nonetheless!!!!!
Parking was somewhat scarce, so we made good use of the side of the road, which effectively stopped any more visitors coming in!!!
As you can see, due to the state of the roads in the countryside, detailing was out of the question!!
The younger members of the club enjoyed the farm animal petting section where new friends were made
We waved goodbye to the farm and set off for the Candle Factory, where an enjoyable few hours were spent by the younger generation making candles and badges, and by the mums and dads browsing the craft displays, followed by lunch in the restaurant - just as the snow started!!!
By the time we arrived at our third port of call, Blakemere Craft Centre, the snow had begun to settle
but we enjoyed a wander round the gift and craft shops, where we managed to find an 'Uncle Ian' look-alike..........
Then there was just time for a group photo before we parted, to make our way home to some warmth!
Many thaks for all those who braved the cold to make this day such a fantastic success - there will definitly be more in the near future!!!!
