Just asked and the service booker said that they would need to see what updates it needs before they can do anything. She sounded a bit evasive about FOC, but car booked in for 26 Feb for handbrake recall work to be done, and we'll await the outcome

So what do these updates give you.... I've never seen a definitive fix list.....

'In Theory' They should do this FOC 'IF' your having other work done. However, just turning up off the street may incure a charge.

It's like everything else though, if you have a good dealer then your fine, other dealers want to charge the earth for it.

If they update it for free then i will enquire exactly what the update covers. If they want to charge, then i'll not bother... as nothing is wrong with it currently.

Got car back from steelers after doing a warranty job on replacing a fuel filter unit. I asked them to put on tech2 for software updates which they did, but they couldnt tell me which ones they updated. Is this normal, or will they keep a record of what updates were done?
