Default Exhuast tone on a diesel?

Thinking of putting a s/s exhaust system on my cdti 150, will it sound any good. Never really heard a s/s exhaust system on a diesel before. On a petrol car obviously makes quite a big difference. Anybody have any videos?

You may get a little increased noise, but it won't sound like a petrol with a performance exhaust.

There is a few on YouTube...

Vectra Diesel, unknown engine, unknown exhaust, but i think it sounds quite good -

and a couple of Astra 1.9 CDTi's with Milltek systems, now these do sound good, and Milltek are a well known and trusted brand, and Milltek also told me when i equired that althought they dont make a system for the Vectra CDTi, they have parts available to make the Astra system fit the Vectra...

I have a the cat out, and a twin pipe on with no rear silencers. It's got a nice burble to it not loud on idle, then gives a nice purr when your giving it some. And just the same when cruising! I want the front cat out though cause then you get a nice wastegate noise too!

That Vectra one looks like the kind of backbox you can buy cheaply in Motorworld and such like, a universal one....mostly seen codged onto Saxo's and Fiesta's and suchlike.

Although it doesnt sound half bad...bit better fitting and it would be OK.

I've seen some (Cringe) BMW's (Sorry) on Youtube with sports exhausts on and they make a great howling sound on run off....sounds evil.
