Default Looking at a Vectra C Estate - Diesel

    All,

Looking at the potential of buying a Vectra C estate. We currently have a Passat estate V plate 1.8T 20V petrol, which is fantastic I have to say, but it has the auto / tiptronic gearbox, and its used as daily for the school run etc so only get early 20's mpg.

So thinking about a Vectra C estate now, as the missus loves my 05 C Sri 1.9 CDTi (150) and its her who drives the estate.

So, I think I am looking around an 05 (last of the pre facelift, same as mine) or 55 (first of the facelift). Defo the SRI spec I think, but not sure what diesel engine..

So a few bits of advice:
    1) What engine do we think for an estate for mainly a town runner etc. Love my 150BHP 1.9 cdti, so thinking thats the way to go, not sure about the 2.0 2.2 DTI's tho? - how do they compair in power to the cdti
    2) Do ALL diesel engined estates have the DPF? Is that a potential problem?
    3) What do you think I should be looking to pay for an 05 / 55 as above, SRI spec with no more than 60K on the clock?

    Cheers Ant
