Default Good deed but feel guilty

Saw an elderly lady slip on the ice up the road from my house so I rushed over to help. I got her back onto her feet but she had cut her head and there was a bit of blood. I walked her and her dog home as they were only round the corner. Whilst walking slowly and talking she said to call her son. I called the son who came striaght round and by the time we got to her house he was there. It wasn't bad enough to call for an ambulance but being a head wound best to see a doc.

I feel guilty that the best I can do was call her son. On Monday I will demand to the boss that I go on a first aid course.

    well done mate!

but even if ya know first aid, you wouldnt of been able to do anythin more than ya already did tbh.
her son should of either took her to a walk in centre or to A&E, depending on how bad the cut was etc,.. but good on ya!

just kidding! first aid is a big help like, i member coming home from Evesham one night, and having to stop cos a truck had crashed into a car causing a nice lik le up!
the paramedics said that i had done a good job!.. also, there was an off duty doctor and nurse with us.. which helped alot too! lol right place at the right time??

    Lol.

In fact ive had to use it on a few more people... one guy who had an epiltic fit and smashed his head open as he fell.... But unfot that ended up with us having to restrain as him became very violent.. (was a viloent person it wasnt the fit)

I only take the first aid courses so im equipped with the knowledge for my family.

One time my lil girl was choking on a mini cheeder... first u could hear her chocking... 15 seconds later her airway was complety blocked ...

Scariest moment of my life but the first aid taught me what to do and except for some sick on my shoes all was well.
