    Default 19 cdti boost problem

My Dad bought a new 19 cdti (150) last week. When he brought it home i drove the car and i knew straight away it wasnt boosting low down in the revs. It went into the dealers and they fitted a new turbo with the car only having 200 miles on the clock. I brought the car home and guess what no different. Above 3000rpm the car goes like stink, but boost only starts about 2500rpm. My own 19 cdti (150) starts boost about 1700rpm. Does anyone have any ideas. By the way there is no trouble codes

My car wasn't boosting at all yesterday, after the dealer had had it in with a loss of power every so often.

They have cleaned the EGR and now the car goes like a train, even more so than when I got it a month ago!!

No fault codes either, and I don't think they beleived there was even a problem, until I tried to go home with it and I couldnt get it past a crawl...and dumped it outside the front doors...

I wish I'd put £20 on you saying that.

Here's what you need to do. Book the car in to a dealer who has mechanics who have a clue. Ballyrobert Mallusk/Bangor or Townparks in Antrim both have mechanics that actually can fix stuff, not 18 year old kids who plug in a Tech2 and read codes to fix faults.
