    Unhappy front springs

    fitted new front springs to my sri 150 along with new discs n pads and new front hub (sensor knackered ) thought hmm looks to be sitting up went back to vaux parts centre and asked to check correct springs lo and behold wrong springs
    new springs wont be in till tuesday not a happy chappie

    i would give them the bill m8, do you know a mecanic friend that can knock you a recipte up?

    as a diy job would feel unsure about what sort of recourse I have .asked about difference of price for correct springs told not to worry about that we will give you new springs change them and bring back wrong springs no extra charge for correct sri springs

    It’s not just a wrong set of springs. What about your time & a double job hire of equipment x 2 time off work & now you have to do it all again. Talk to the manager & say this is not on, travel to & from the place. Replacement springs plus what else do you need, think of something a set of bulbs minimum type of thing for the hassle. It would be good if there were a queue behind you, just think what’s going through their mind. In fact draw their attention to it, I would. He may suggest they do it for you. That’s fine but you need the use of a car to get to work. Good Luck

    Suppose thats one advantage of entrusting work to a Garage, at least they'd be responisble for fixing it. But nevertheless, gutting.

    How do you disconnect the clip that holds the flexi hose for the brakes from the strut?
    I was going to change the mount that sits at the top of the spring but couldn't get the clip off the strut. I didn't want to force it so i put everything back together and booked the car into a garage to gaet the work done.

    iirc i think there is a little bolt that holds it im sure a fellow member will be along to correct me if im wrong.
