    Default fm transmitter

hi all, i know a few months ago i was on about getting a new stereo but decided to keep the original and go down the fm transmitter route. just a copule of questions, is the ipod the one to be going for or are you just paing for the name because surely a mp3 player is a mp3 player! and the other question what transmitter? is the itrip a good one has anyone got it ? many thanks

I've got an Ipod, had a Sony. The ipod has a very good interface and Itunes is probably the best software available.

As for FM transmitters, I've used audia X and an Itrip, but the quality is poor. However I've fitted a Dension Ice Link FM tranmitter in the Vectra and the quality is extremely good. This is IMHO the way to go.

    Default ****** halfords!

i just been to halfords to look at the dension ipod thing, i asked them if it would fit with my stereo , explaining that with the new vectras it has a different aerial. he went in the book and looked across it and replied yes it fits all vauxhalls showing me the picture of the cdr400 i think it is! i was like doh! telling him the new vectras and corsas etc have a new double din stereo! they have to be the worst sales assistants anywhere, im sure the women in boots would know more!

anyway to clarify am i right in saying that the new aerial connectors are the same ones as bmw/mini etc . i ask this cause i cause an adapter in halfords that looked like my connection but it it said to convert bmw to iso(i think its called iso the round cylindrical one)!!!
    sorry about the long thread!

The dension comes with all the correct ariel leads in the box, nothing extra to buy.
