    Default replacing TID

i have been thinking about replacing my TID (which shows only temp, time and radio info) with CID or GID for quite long time already..

i have talked to a friend who does that on astras and he said it is a straight swap, both with CID and GID.

i called one of my friends then who has an extra CID waiting for me and i was very happy to hear it because i thought i have solved my problem.

but, the jacks arent the same.. my is much much smaller than needed, and i've tried to connect GID too, but with the same result, jack mismatch..

i would really like to throw this ugly TID out because it is iritating me, but looks like there is no way..

does anyone know what can i do in order to put CID or GID in my car?
    any help would be appreciated..

btw, my car is 07/2004. Vectra gts..

Seems simple enough just match the pins on the 18 pin with the corresponding ones on the 32 pin then if i'm reading right the rest of the wires are straight swaps, you will have a few wires missing but these are for level sensors and mpg/trip
