Default self imposed driving instructors/traffic cops

what is it with some people? the ordinary folk who decide they can tell others how to drive?
on the motorcycle i have people flashing their lights and waving their arms around in a 'slow down' motion frequently. people tut tutting and shaking their head if you don't drive like they do [the 42mph brigade]. this morning, i was overtaking a truck in the car, the truck in far distance coming the other way started flashing his lights because he must have decided i had spent too long on his side of the road. i gave him full beam back, raised my middle finger and counted to 4 whilst back in my own lane, just to illustrate to myself his over reaction.
why don't people mind their own business and concentrate on their own [usually poor] driving instead of imposing their opinions on others?

that's it, rant over. feel better now.

Yep, I love the morons in the Fiestas and Kia Picanos in the outside lane doing 55mph despite the inside lane being clear. Always some old boy with specs half an inch thick.

There's a guy in our village who has his own 30mph speed limit sign that he puts outside his drive as a reminder!! If i ever see him outside the front of his house I speed up just to get on his nerves, and i'm not alone in doing this, even people just passing by do the same, he always waves at you to slow down and regulary gets the finger in return!! he's not very old either, quite sad really!!

I see your point, but in this particular case, maybe the oncoming truck thought that if he collided with you, or with something else whilst trying to avoid you, it indeed was his business. Trucks have a much greater stopping distance than cars.

Fair one Pete. Mind you nobody knows what his motivation is of course. He may have a perfectly valid reason for doing that, such as [heaven forbid] having lost a child as a result of a speeding motorist in a 30 limit.....

Then again, he might just be a nut.

Funny you should mention his kids because his "child" parks his BT transit van on a blind corner outside his house about half a mile away!! I wonder how he would like it if another do gooder took it upon themself to put a note on his sons windscreen every night he parks outside on a dangerous corner!!

So perhaps he is just a bit afterall!
