    Default petrol speedo into diesel!

    hi guys i,m wondering if i can fit 3.2 elite speedo to 3.0 cdti they look identical, any ideas.thanks in advance

    Apart from rev counter? I would have thought that the max revs limit of diesel would be considerably lower than the petrol version.

    Changing the instrument panel would probably need Tec 2 for it to work. Other than that can't really see any issues.

    What exactly is it you're wanting to fit - just the speedo part with odometer? The problem you're going to have is that you won't be able to have the new odometer display the mileage that your car has done. The instruments can be Tech 2'd with a new mileage, but only if they're new or haven't done over, from memory, 50 miles.

    I think it may be that the one he's looking at has a chrome ring on it?

    If that's all it is then I'm sure someone, maybe others, have simply transferred that chrome ring over.

    Yep i got some petrol SRi clocks cheap and simply stripped em down and took rings off and stripped my dti clocks down and attached rings. Easy mod and looks good to!

    what glue did you use mate as watching a set that im aftrer gutting for the rings

    itried to do the same but failed...bought clocks from 57 reg and tried fitting to 53 reg...totally different in where warning lights are ,then told by vauxhall that would have to be programmed into car as to stop mileage fraud
