    Default Little Mishap today..

Coming home from work this evening trying to negotiate a hill with untreated hard packed snow to drive on,parked cars either side of the road..managed to keep a steady speed up with the traction contol switched off, which i hoped would stop the wheels from spinning as much...some clever person decided to reverse straight out of his driveway without looking to see if there was anything coming...but there was and it was me..started to brake gently and the car went into a spin...only doing 30 mph by the way...i spun around 2 or 3 times, lucky that there was a gap with no parked cars close by...my front off side wheel hit the kerb with a massive thump ruining the alloy wheel..was able to complete the journey very gingerly...but noticed that the steering wheel was'nt straight like it was before..but no other damage..very lucky it seems....incidently ?could there be any other damage done to the suspension, did 'nt notice any weird handling on the way back, but worried there could be...anyway thanks in advance.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. You are the second person on here to hit the curb and do damage since yesterday. As suggested to the other poster, its fairly sure you have bent one or both of the track rods. Wouldn't have thought it would have damaged suspension bits but always worth checking it all out.

get it checked out and fingers crossed you have not done too much damage. When going up hill in snow its hard to judge how fast to go as too slow and you dont make it up the hill.

I don't understand how turning the TC off would stop the wheels spinning so much.
