If that's for the full clutch kit, flywheel (all Vx parts) and labour it's actually a damn good price! I had that lot done on my 2.0T last year and the parts alone were £800 (labour another £400) - and that was with TC on the clutch and 10% discount on the flywheel.

That was for the whole lot fitted?

One of the mechanics at the dealers who replaced my clutch + DMF under warranty said that it would've cost me about £1000 if the car wasn't covered by warranty. Surely there'll be somewhere that can do it for less. I would'nt even be bothered if it was done with genuine Vauxhall parts or not, if i could get it done cheaper elsewhere i'd get it done elsewhere.

I was also told the DMF is a bad design as it ends up splitting. So i asked if my car had been fitted with with the same badly designed DMF and was told vauxhall haven't changed the design- so yes it's had the badly designed DMF replaced with the exact same badly designed DMF. I just hope this one lasts more than 42000 unlike the factory fitted one.

I'm a little out of touch with garage prices, but £960 does sound pricy, but from other posts it would seem to be normal.

With these sort of repair bills, and the drastically falling prices of vectra's I think we are going to be seeing lots of used veccies being scrapped off as the cost of some expensive repairs will not be financially viable especially now vecs are dropping to such low prices.
