Default Me again! Pic of new car! and another Q sorry!

    Gawd!

This is terrible! Like having my hands tied together! I can take appart and rebuild almost any Vectra B V6... but this is so new to me all this!

So, the car is being picked up on saturday.. looking forward to it now, and the mpg! (although still a little aprehensive after my 6years of V6 Vec Bs) But my question is, how can i get an ipod wired into the vauxhall stereo? Or can i fit my alpine single din headunit some how?? Think linking to the vaux stuff would be neater.....

Here she is though! 54reg, 1.9 CDTi (150) 45,000miles on the clock, and the irmscher stuff is listed in the documentation as factory fit! I think it looks rather dapper! And i got a cracking deal!

You can fit a single din unit no problem you just need to buy an adaptor to fit in the double din hole. Usually between £10-20. I dunno about the i pod though i've never looked into it!

    Nice looking car BTW.

Bummer! Ive tried that before... its OK until you get to busy areas with many radio stations! Plus also the bass and clarity is lost unless you have it hard wired

Was hoping there would be an electronic gadget of sorts that wired into the back!

Nice car! I looked into hardwiring my iPod to my CD30 head unit, but come up with a blank. Fitted an Alpine iPod compatible head unit instead, and although it doesn't look quite as tidy as the factory fitted HU, the sound quality more than makes up for it. In fact, I have a spare facia adapter which I haven't every opened should you decide to go down that route

If your looking to fit a blue tooth hands free kit, I have the new Parrott that has an iPod, aux and USB input.

Ideal as you get the best of both worlds. Very easy to install and cost me £215 inc VAT fitted.

Have you got any pictures of it installed?

Only ive got a really nice Alpine headunit taken out of my Vectra B. Its an ipod one, with the adapter to work on the steering controls!

Do you know if the same adapter will work? Or will i need a new one? Also what does it do to the display? On my B it wouldnt show headunit activity on the MID anymore? Cheers!

Thats another option i guess! How well does it carry the sound quality across?

    Cheers again!
