Default Anyone worried about kids yanking snow off their cars?

I live in a terraced house , and as such have to park on the street. I realised yesterday trudging through the snow, watching kids throwing snowballs, that they were getting their amunition from parked cars.
It made me think, these kids had been picking up snow, probably with grit or dirt in their gloves, them running their hands along the roofs and bodywork of cars.
Made me go out and remove all the snow off my car. I know I am a bit of a killjoy, but I didnt clay, polish, glaze and wax, for some kid to scratch it.
I am I getting paranoid, was I a bit over the top maybe?

No I think you have a valid point. I was thinking this morning about putting up a post would removing the snow off your motor actually scratch the paint/lacquer.?.

Also very worried about kids creating snowballs, holding onto them for a while so they go very solid and then having 'a laugh' throwing them at passing cars.

how much damage would an 'ice' ball do to your car!

Yeah noticed some little cretin had come down my drive and scooped some off my bonnet, so removed the snow off the car, the cheek!

As for kids throwing them at passing cars, little barstewards! I chased one kid last year with my car, didn't lay a finger on him but scared him enough that he'll prob not do it again!

I went mental yesterday when i saw the snow missing on the bonnet and bootlid
Missus saw the little scrotes that did it and told them to sling their hook, wanted to go and see their parents and tell them what their kids had done and if i find any scratches on my car i'll be sending them the bill, but missus stopped me and said kids will be kids.....

She managed to calm me down but still don't know why parents don't teach their kids other people's property shouldn't be touched, did wind me up but next time the car will be wiped of snow.........
