    Default Tyre size ???

Would it be legal and possible to fit 225 or 235 45 17s on the rear , and keep 215 45 17 on the front ? These are Sri wheels .

You can have different tyres on different axles, but not the same axle

I'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong

I now have 225/45/17 Goodyear Eagle F1's on the back and I'm not replacing my fronts ( 215/50/17 Michelin Premacy thingybobs ) until the show some sign of getting near the treadwear indicator.

And I'm not telling how much I paid for the F1's either. Suffice to say it was nicely under £200 fitted.

As before, as long as the tyres on the same axle are the same size, it is perfectly legal. Think about the BMW M3, that has different tyre sizes front and back, as does the VX220. That is how they leave the factory, so it has to be legal!!
