    Default Help! Passenger Side Collapsed!

Hope you can help me (again).
Just got car out of garage and front passenger side was making a rubbing noise. Turned steering from left to right and it clonked but front looked a little low. Went to ove car forward and it collapsed!! Had a shunt on that side in November last year and it was fixed but do you guys think it was caused by accident. Is it a broken spring?? Would appreciate some advice.
    Cheers,
    Dave

In fairness, we can't say what's gone wrong with the info provided. You will need to have a look at what is broken.

If the repair was done OK, in Nov then it is unlikely to suddenly and catastrophically fail like you describe.

It could be the spring, or an arm or another thing to do with the suspension, either active or inactive parts.

Take a look underneath and maybe post pics, then more help may be possible.

Thanks guys. Even tough it's a common problem do you think the accident may have weakened it? Is it worth contacting the repairers as they have given me a 5 year guarentee.

This is what it looks like at the moment. Will take wheel off later and have a look. Sorry its so filthy, waiting for snow to clear before I wash it.

I'd be straight back on to them with the GT once you have established the problem. However if it is the spring they can go at any time, as we all know so then the cheapest replacement option...
