Default Another bit of maintainance completed

Put new Mintex pads and discs and pads on all 4 corners at the weekend.
Got the lot plus a wear indicator for £121, not bad i thought.

I bought this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Laser-Brake-Ad...1%7C240%3A1318 to wind the back caliper back, but didnt fit.
So i bought this at the local parts shop http://www.tooled-up.com/Product.asp?PID=16507.... still didnt fit, so i had to file down two of the pegs on one face to fit the holes in the piston. Worked a treat with a 3/8" ratchet.

Brakes still feel a bit spongey, but hoping that is just them bedding in.

Pleased to hear you got the job done, hope you left the appropriate 'Feedback' for the ebay item that didn't work. ...

I didnt get the laser adaptor from ebay, sorry if misled, it was the only pic i could find. It does say on the packaging that it fits vauxhalls tho, but deffo not my '04 Vectra.

Aye, plenty of job satisfaction by doing it myself.
The 2 front Torx disc locating screws where a tw@t to get off tho.
They are T30 ones, but that just 'rounded' off the head. So i had to hammer in a T40 to get them off.

It seems to be a common problem, with the rewind tool not fitting. I made my own using a large bolt and welded 2 pins on myself
