It obviously had the desired effect on you, I was moved by it too.

IMO it should be. 'Kill Your Speed, or Kill a Child' which is it to be?

Lets hope many others take heed and drive more carefully also.

Implying that everytime a person speeds, they will kill someone. Not exactly true though, is it?

Whilst I do not condone speeding (IMO different to exceeding the speed limit) we need to better educate people to driving to the conditions and not just be limited to some arbritary speed.

Eg, the other day I saw a lot of people driving on very slippery roads at about 25mph, I thought a safe speed was more like 15 mph max, so no-one 'exceeded the limit', but several were 'speeding'.

Conversely, I am aware of times when the 70mph limit on the motorway can be exceeded safely and hence 'exceeding the limit', but not 'speeding'.

Thanks for that... I was searching on Youtube for it. Its not a bad one, but I think the one with the car actually hitting the kid in slow motion at 30 and then at 40 got the message to me more...

Like most campaigns the effect will in my opinion be short lived. We need constant reminders of the consequences. However I have utmost sympathy for anyone who may have lost a loved one due to any type of road accident. The smashed wreckage of a car beside the road following an accident effects you for a few miles then what? ....

Ah sorry about that ,you sound disapointed. There always has to be one pedantic post.
Anyone with any sense would realise its the potential to kill.

In my day we used to call it common sense!

Sorry guvnor I was exceeding the speed limit, but I wasn't speeding... honest guv because I considered it safe to break the limit. ah thats alright then!. *******

There is never a time when speeds on the motorway can exceed 70mph. Its illegal to do so, and therefore is not applicable to any discussion on the forum, its discussion would be purely hypothetical.
