    Default Blind Jumbo Jet Pilot.

Folk were climbing the stairway onto the Jumbo, when it became apparent that the pilot was blind (had the dog, white stick and shades etc) as he was feeling every ones face and saying welcome aboard etc.

One guy walked up to him and said, how can a blind man fly that thing? The pilot said well the dials are all in brail, the altometer speaks and lets me know how high we are and the plane lands on auto pilot. so whats the problem.

The guys said well thats fair enough but, when you are belting along the runway, how do you know when to pull the stick to make the plane miss the perimeter fence and trees etc. The pilot said, no problem son, I just leave the cabin door open and listen to you guys in the seats screaming f***** hell and I then pull the stick back.

    Laugh I nearly died.

I remember the first time I ever flew anywhere. It was a 02.15 flight to Majorca with Mammy and Pappy and my two brothers, We went into the departure lounge, saw our plane and was just looking / admiring it from the window as we saw the bluddy pilot fall up the staircase! I was a little nervous.

As we circled Palma airport, we saw a big fire on the ground. As we circled and got lower, we recognised the burning wreckage of a passenger aircraft. I got nervous again. As we circled for the last time and came down, we saw it was in fact a training mock up that the local Fire Brigade were practicing on!

    I have flown since, surprisingly!
