    Default temp gauge

    my tempt gauge appears to have stopped working, only had a brief look due to working, does anyone know where i would find the temp sender unit? does it have one or is it one of those ecu issues? thanks for your help. sorry it's a 2.2 dti elegance 2004 model.

    are you sure its stopped working , try letting it idle for a good 20 mins , they take forever in this weather

    pretty sure it takes a good 20 mins to drive home from work and for two days it hasn't budged from below zero but the heater is warm, i did notice last week it was on zero but when i sswitched off for a few mins and started again it went up to 85, but hasn't done any thing since, thought if there was a sender might be able to put wire straight to earth to confirm gauge is ok

    im driving 11 ,miles to work and its not budging but it does work , i got stuck in a jam last week and it did eventually move

    could also be a faulty thermostat

    I had the same problem, I changed my thermostat on sunday, works perfectly now.

    yeah, i've noticed mine being a little lazy, stays on 0 most of the time will move alittle bit upwards after 20mins in car but then goes back to 0.?? I take it this is not normal
