    Default Show/project car opinions please

Hi Guys hope you can help me sway in my decision.

I have recently bought a Vec C CDTI which I was planning to make into a VXR replica. The main reason for buying this motor was to have a (touch wood) reliable motor that would munch up my weekly miles.

I've owned vectras for the last 3 years now and each one has been bought standard and modified. My dilemma is do i spend the money on my workhorse and make it my project car once more. Or do i buy something else to use a project/show car.

I love the diesel economy and the build quality of the C. I can't help thinking that i will spoil the C and it won't be my pratical everyday run a round.

What do you think guys should i mod the C and keep the one car or buy a second car, keep it garaged and bring it out when the sun shines/show season?

    Tom

'spose it depends how far you were planning to modify it as to whether you'd want to still use it as your everyday car.

Mod it mod it mod it

But seriously, you could mod it but keep it practicle. (i.e don't put a really low front/rear skirt on it or lower it too far etc...) HTH

If you can afford to run 2 cars then I would do that that way you will never have to rush any jobs incase you need to use the car, if you know what I mean

well i want to keep the vec C practical so 18's and lowering wouldnt hurt, thats all i'd want to do to the C really

nice thing about the vec B's is theres so much more available for tuning/modding and cheaper as well. and like you say being a show car there never any rush to complete jobs
