Best way to clean brakes for painting?

Hi guys, as the title says I'm about to fit some 314's but before that happens I need to give them a lick of paint.
What's the best product to use to clean them up?

or a local car spares place at about half the price....

Motor factors will be a damn site cheaper than Halfords. I got 5l of the stuff (with a pump spray) for the same price that Halfords were selling a much smaller amount for. They should sell 500ml aerosols of it as well (the factors) and that'll be more than enough.

Great stuff, as I'm on the subject of cleaning, can this be used on alloys?
of am i best off sticking with wonder wheels?

I don't think I'd use it on alloys, or wonder wheels - stick to an acid free wheel cleaner like the Autobrite one.

I now have the cleaner, but i want to strip the calipers right down, i understand that the 4 bolts are glued in. Is it fairly straight forward to remove and then i guess refit with say loctite?
