Default Stuck in the road would you help?

A neighbour 4 doors down has been stuck outside his house for the past hour trying to get back on his driveway. I didn't go to his aide straight away as was just about to at my full English. Anyway thought someone would help him seeing that his car is stuck fast in the snow about a yard from his driveway - nope. Not a sausage (someone mention breakfast again??)

Finished my food and decided to don my cold weather clothes once more (still drying off from early this morning) grabbed a shovel from the shed and went to see if I could help.

Well about 30 mins later after letting the front tyres down and scrapping the compacted snow from the ground and clearing his driveway, he managed to get it parked up -

This bloke’s next door neighbour didn't even offer to help despite them just clearing their own footpath with grit and shovels!!

Oh I nicked some of their grit to help the car get traction

Strange that how a once empty road (apart from struggling car) becomes busy once the car is parked up and does not need help

I have not posted this for a pat on the back, I just cannot believe how unhelpful people can be. Not very impressed with my neighbours really...........

Yep - thinking of it by rights I should not have helped cos of my back - but if I stay still for too long it gets stiff. Thankfully is on the mend now...

I just cannot stand and watch people if they are in need of help..

Yep, same - communal steps and path to a small row of houses - some have only gritted in front of theirs !! They still have to walk the whole path anyway so theres no point in just doing their house lol

Illl finish the job properly now....lol

When we do get some snow down here.... ie once in a blue moon all the neighbours do tend to help each other out... by gritting or clearing paths etc.
2 Weeks ago it was snowbound on the Moors... cars were stuck all over the place.... and one lone Range Rover driver towed over 30 cars up the hill and to safety.... and thats before the police finally arrived!

Now that what i call helping out ur fellow man!
