    Default SRi Mudflaps

Hi - got an 08' plate SRi (Star Silver) and been having a good old read about mudflaps for this model but just wanted to ask a couple of questions ... anyone help?

    1) The moulded pre-facelift black plastic guards are the ones that fit best - don't get facelift ones as they won't fit?

    2) Seen a few cars with the rubber mudflaps on, with the Griffin logo - are these an option are just what people have modified to fit? I don't want to start cutting / drilling holes etc.

    2) Seen a few pictures of colour coded moulded guards, but anyone got a picture of a silver Vectra with the standard black items on? I want to see if they just look wrong or not in black.

    Thanks - J.

thanks tadpole, nice motor and I would say the moulded flaps look the best. Is it expensive to have them colour coded? and do they suffer from cracking because of the plastic?

I think all paint work on plastic has a 'life' this is why I have stuck with the plastic/rubber it works for me & I don't get stressed if I touch anything which you will do....

I would say it depends on how well the painting has been done. If you think about it the front and rear bumpers are made out of plastic and they are painted they don't suffer from cracking as they have been painted well.

To a certain extent I agree however the mudflaps are of a different compound than the hard bumper. Each to his own, this is all to do with your own personal preference. ...

Wasn't this my thread Taffyopel's car looks good with the rubber style + seem to remember he saying they actually do what mudflaps are meant to do. The moulded VX ones do look like a bit of a token gesture. But as I mentioned above I don't want to go drilling holes / cutting to get these to fit - are these an option from VX?
