to any sky installers on here,at the moment sky are advertising the hd box for £49 plus £30 instalation,as i have a sky plus box i have the dual lnb on the dish with twin cables,can i just ask for the deal with the box at £49 but install it myself and not pay £30 extra as i dont see why i should have to pay as i dont need installation?

Pretty sure they won't let you do it that way, thought about it myself at one point but they won't let you, only way is to install yourself by getting your own box and ring them up and ask them to pair the box with your card and then ask them to upgrade your package. Also if you take up their offer you are committed for twelve months whereas if you get your own box and do-it-yourself you can cancell the hd at any time.

i think i may have answered my own question as im not a sky customer and havnt been so for a couple of years,perhaps someone on here confirm that?

Just ordered an Upgrade, box only £49 plus £9.75 extra a month...thing is they have stated installation is Free on receipt, bonus!!
