    Default K&N filter cleaning

guys i have cleaned my filter and reoiled it but im worried i have over oiled it and i dont want to wreck my MAF. i cleaned it and then gave it 2 light sprays either side. thing is when i touch it i get a oil on my finger if i touch the crease. does this sound too much and if so what should i do?

I haven't cleaned mine yet. How often should you clean them?

I cleaned mine last week but I only oiled the side that catches the much but it does soak through. When I fitted it I patted the oil side down with a clean cloth just to get rid of any excess.

Leave the filter overnight on some kitchen roll and see how much oil runs down. Next day, dab both sides of the filter with more kitchen roll until the kitchen roll is almost grease free. This way, you should have just enough oil retained within the filter gauze to do it's job.
