    might need to move on to an estate and the new mondeo looks good any opinions please

    LOL ^

    Two words about the mundano estate "its massive" but, if you really want an estate there's only one IMO and that's the Volvo V70 in either D5 or 2.4 5cyl ! that's where i'd be looking for a flying wardrobe !!

    If you're looking at changing from a Vec that is.

    One thing I'd say is the 2 litre diesel in the Mondeo is truely woeful, wouldn't pull you out of bed. Definately go for the 2.2. If petrol is your thing then the 2 litre is the one to start with, the 1.8 is only 125hp. Again, load the car up and you'll be going nowhere fast.

    A freind has a new Mondeo Titanium X estate as his company car . His is the 2.2 Tdci , to say it pulls well is an understatment . It really does pull very very well , and a superb drivers car to boot .

    V70 D5 would be better though .

    got to say being an ex mondeo owner MK3 Estate and driver of both mk2 mk3 and mk4 estate models I would not have another would look at either vectra estate or as others have said volvo V70

    Took delivery of a 2.0L Zetec a fortnight ago, and i have to admit it blows the Vectra away in all respects. Ford really have made a good car this time, and even with the launch of the Insignia i think VX have a lot of catching up to do

    sorry matey, that was my other choice, vastly overpriced, build quality was CR4P and the trade in was tearful
