Default Do fitting 19's make a firmer ride?

Hi, Does it make a difference to the ride quality if you fit 19" VXR alloys instead of the standard 17" SRi wheels?
    Cheers

I've never noticed much of a difference tbh, just found with 19's the car was more chuckable and not so boat like lol

The ride is ok but the road noise from the 235's is so much that it give me a headache some times.

    Vehicle : Signum

    Trim : Design

    Engine : 2.0T

    Year : 2005

    Mileage : 52000

    Default Fitting 235's

I had Continentals fitted and the road noise is horrendous. Just had two Kumho's fitted at £ 76 each, rather that £176(!!!!) each for the Conti's, and the nise is a lot,lot less.

As the ride is much harder, it's probably harder on suspension & steering components.
Hmmm... I wonder how many of the cars with busted coil springs were fitted with 19s...

Mine has had 19's for 2 years, has cover 70k constantly goes over speed bumps and bad country roads and has never needed anything replacing suspension wise
