    Default Does your standard stereo.....

Guys I notice that many of you have fitted aftermarket stereos in your Vectra's and Signum's , just wondering why ?

I have the satnav stereo in my sri , CD70 I believe its called . Now to my old 42 year old years it sounds superb , mush better than an equivelent Mondeo's stereo .

Is it just me that thinks it sounds really good , or am I missing the point somewhere allong the line ?

They arent too bad , they lack the low end bass of the ford radios , i pulled my cdc 40 opera system out of my car for a while but ended up putting it back in ,

The Sony in the focus sounds sublime , shame it hasnt got DAB or 6CD changer

I had the CD30MP3 in my Astra, the Vectra only had the pauper-spec CD30. No MP3s, so it had to go. Using a Kenwood double-DIN with the Bluetooth hands free module.

The standard speakers will take a lot of power so give them a go before replacing them . and can produce some good bass , the cd30 HU is pretty poor but the cdc40 opera and the cd70are pretty good .

    Bad pic:

I have it hooked up to the steering wheel controls, I have the KCA-BT200 bluetooth module fitted to it. It's a DPX-503U. Not as fancy as the big screen DVD sort of things, but for £200 you can't go far wrong with it. The facia lighting can change to any colour you like, too.

I agree that the CD70 sound is absolutely superb !!!
The bass is excellent, and makes my doors vibrate, and you can feel the air woosh coming from the speakers.

I would find it hard to belive that audio in a car can get any better !
