    Default Stop The Rot

    VV's way.

Now, what I'd like to see instead of company bailout's is the government to examine any company that is shedding jobs, if they can justify the need to shed jobs the government should then step in and stop the redundancies with a deal in place that all wages will reduce by 33% for anyone earning less than £25k pa, the government then tops the wages back up to where they should be, i.e the 33% resulting in no job losses, and the company wage bill reduced by a third, the third that would've been redundancies in a cost cut measure, the end product is that by not losing the jobs the ppl employed remain in a productive state of mind and still have an income, the country would end up paying the top up in benefit money anyway, plus because ppl still had a job they would be able to spend still returning 15%vat tax on sales back to the treasury, plus the taxation on the 67% of their company pay, and also any revenue gained by the company in tax on profit's, all in all I think you will find this will shorten the pain period of the CC, keep ppl in a proper mental working state, and cost no more in real terms than having splashed out benefit for them to do nothing and just exist.

It would have to work on a basis that you prove you had no alternative other than to cut workers number's, it wouldn't be discriminating to your personal cicumstances, anyone working for a firm that qualifies would qualify, the ceiling of £25k would be set so the country doesn't end up financing ppl on wages above this, and anyone still lucky enough to be earning that amount should count themselves lucky to be above the breadline anyway so it will be their choice if they chose to quit because of a pay drop, all pay drops would only be in force until such time as things improve and also anyone who had to take one could be reimbursed by way of a bonus if the company profit is strong enough to pay it to them, i.e someone on £60k pa, takes a cut to say £35k, but in 2 yrs time if the company has flourished enough the 50k they are short on is paid back to them in bonus less the tax, anyone doing one over it and quitting will have to be replaced by the company by someone else willing to take less money as part of the sub'd deal with the government, but I think £700 pw is still a better option than no company or no job, and there's always the chance they will get the full wage back in the future anyway, as the euro is strong right now the UK should prep itself for outside investment as we are now a viable alternative for production within Europe.

If this gets read and copied by those who call the shot's, remember you heard it here 1st and VV is the daddy.

It's nice to see ppl agreeing with me, I had a feeling I would get shot down on this one, but so far on two forums nobody has said a bad one against the idea yet.
