    Default Reduced fuel consumption

Looking for advice as a newbie to this Veccy stuff - have 07 1.9cdti Design - done some 27k now(had 3k when got it 18mth ago) and fuel consumption has been excellent at 53'ish as do reasonable runs(25miles most days on open roads) - that is until about 2 months ago.
Have regularly used Sainsbury diesel but back in Nov after using a tankfull noticed mpg struggled to 50. Have switched to Shell since then but no significant improvement.
Any suggestions as to what might be problem please?

It's a device that if connected correctly will probably do no harm to your car, whether or not it does it any good is open to question.

TBH all this farting about with car electronics is making a lot of people a lot of money, usually at the expense of someone else further down the line of ownership.

There is no substitute for 'driving' economically.

Don't touch those things, they're for petrol for a start, and all they do is screw up the reading from the AFM. They're just the old resistor trick in a little plastic box. Cost them literally 50p to make (the resistor is less than 2p, the box is the expensive item).

Have you tried some injector cleaner? Might just need a bit of a cleaning out. Get some of that fuel system cleaner, lash it in with some decent diesel then go for a spirited drive. Should help a load.

    Thumbs up fuel consumption

Thanks for comments - will try the fuel additive - any preferences?. If doesn't work will wait for warmer weather and re-check.
