Default How many cars "pull to the left"?

Im picking a used 2008 sri 2.0T up tommorrow, on the test drive it pulled to the left. The dealer said he will sort it out. I didnt realise that it was a common problem. As a percentage, how many vectras are effected? does there seem to be 1 model or year that is worse? I have searched all the previous threads but have not found the answers.

    Cheers

A lot of cars will 'pull' to the left simply due to the camber of the road - not due to any specific problem.

Do you mean it pulls to the left under braking. Like Duncan say apart from the camber, mmmm? Hope you get it sorted prior to your pick-up. Enjoy the ride.

I have seen a previous recent thread about vectras pulling to the left. I understand that they willn go to the left slighty on a cambered road but this one really pulled, no marks on the wheels though to imply that the wheel had hit acurb. The previous thread seemed to imply that alot of vectras pull to the left on non-cambered roads and with correct wheel allignment. I think one post called the pull as a vectra trate?

Pulled to the left under heavy acceleration from a standstill or wandered / drifted to the left when say on a motorway?

Big difference as yes, the former is torque steer (acceptable?) and the latter is down to either/or tyres, worn suspension components, steering geometry (tracking, camber, toe-in etc,), bent chassis but could be many things.

EDIT - doesn't have to have been kerbed, big potholes are worse. LOL

The car seems to be fine under braking, strange really. Im afraid that the car will be going no where if its not 100% fixed.

The car has 6500 miles on the clock. Its certainly not torque steer as it happens under no acceleration, just coasting along.

Part of the deal was putting on the vauxhall 19 inch wheels, the dealer said that the car is now OK. Would different tyres after 6500 miles really make so much difference? the original tyres showed hardly any wear at all.
