    Default Cold start

Well past few months my cold starting problem seems to be getting a bit worse
When Glow plugs come on starts first thing and there's only a small bit of white smoke,if like today its been quite mild over night Glow plug wont come on and after a couple of turns it burst into life with a cloud of white smoke and a chug of black, runs lumpy for a couple of seconds then its fine.
It doesn't need cranking and cranking to start but its just a bit annoying as when it does start it throws out white smoke which is un burnt diesel, normally after 3 or 4 turns of the engine it will burst into life only once has it failed to start and after 3 turns of the key it then started
but as ive said this has only happened once

So after reading many post's on here picking up temp sensor and leak off pipes and t joints today for £37.35

Al so asked how much to replace Glow plugs £90 all in & Injector seals £160 all in

So will do the cheapest first and go from there

Any suggestions or comments welcome wasnt to sure about prices or if the glow plugs were easy to change or not

In compete honesty, why is it a huge problem to you to have the above happen? As long as it starts and settles within a few seconds what does it matter? Basically are you spending money for no real reason - your money of course...

True but it never use to do this and i don't want it to get to the point where i go out one morning only to find it wont start at all
This is why ive asked for some comments if every one thinks its fine most diesels do this then i cant see the point in doing it,i just went out and sarted it a few minutes ago after being sat since 9am so a good 3 hrs it started after about 3 turns and a bit of white smoke (smelt of diesel)

Personally, I (from previous deisel car experience) I wouldn't worry about it, as the weather is a bit chilly and all. Did it not do it when it was warmer?

Not as much as its doing now,its a fairly hefty lump of white smoke lol
Maybe your right maybe i should wait for a while i'm just one of these ppl that seem to think everything is a big problem waiting to happen

Mind you when you read some of the horror stories from other members it makes your brain work over time and you start to think "mine does that"
