yeah insurance companies deffo dont like the word modifications let alone the actual modification itself.

Insurance Companies will now search vehicle forums for evidence if they feel it would help breach insurance contracts on a claim.

Same goes for Vauxhall warranties

some people have had their warranties void by vx because their car featured in magazines and forums boasting horsepower and torque figure above standard.

and as you say they have been at it for years but - this is where im gonna be PC, all modifications should be declared, i declare all mines and I would not be the happiest guy in the world of someone with a modded car but mods have not been decalred - hit my motor and i had to pay. All because they couldnt be ar5sed paying a small fee that would turn into a large bill for me.

There are so many people out there trying to cheat paying for extras to their cars let alone actually the ones to pay nothing.
