Default CD70Navi vs Garmin Nuvi 300T

Not having a disk I dont know what the onboard satnav is like, I have got used to the garmin nuvi, considering selling the garmin to buy the CD70navi disk, both are TMC compliant.

Are you talking about the map disc? if so they can come up on here or ebay from time to time and are about £30 (make sure they are original discs).
might be worth buying a disc first, to see what you think of the CD70.
discs direct from navteq are a lot more!

I have both, the Garmin Nuvi is SO much better. CD70 is a basic sat nav but at the end of the day it will still get you to your location

Hi all...I have the Garmin and have to say that it wasn`t as good as the cd70 nav..I know that the maps were basic on the cd70 but it still got you to where you wanted to go....Infact my garminjust sits in the compartment under the armrest and is very rarely used.....

Thanks fellas, I managed to borrow a disk from a workmate. First impressions,, not impressed with the graphics, but having thought about things, seems more appropriate, its a guidance system for someone supposedly concentrating on their driving, not staring dreamily into the amazing 3D graphics.

Mrs also agreed that the CD70 isnt giving way too early prompts, nuvi gives the prewarning as with the CD70 but everything on the nuvi would be accurate if driving around at 200mph.

No more ****** sucker marks on the windscreen, CD70 wins.

Great choice buddy...When i used the Garmin it was bad for teling you to turn at the next junction only to find that it was a junction to early...Very frustrating....I had the cd70 in my previous vectra but not in my current one.But boy do i wish i`d waited for a vectra nav model again...
