Best of both worlds

The car I'm referring to will be an 06 vectra cdti 150

As i mentioned in a previous thread i still can't decide whether to get an elite or sri so decided to put together a comparison between the 2 so as to end up with the advantages of both. One thing i might not mind losing could be the sri seats as i'm going to be doing around 170 miles a day and will be getting in and out of the car around 20 times a day. Please feel free to add any parts i've missed (i'm sure there's many) which i'd need to change. Copying and pasting my original list with the additions would make things easier for me.

Also thought i'd mention that even if i bought an sri i might still upgrade the suspension and add a few exterior vxr parts.

Below is a list of what i'd need to change, so under the elite heading i've listed the parts i'd lose from not buying the sri and vice versa...

Sports seats (would prefer to keep leather elite seats)
Half leather steering wheel

Exterior:
18” wheels (would replace on sri with vxr 19”)
Skirts (would replace on sri with vxr part)
Rear bumper (would replace on sri with vxr part)
Front bumper (would replace on sri with vxr part)
Rear boot lip spoiler (would replace on sri with vxr part)

Handling / performance:
Sri lower / stiffer suspension (would replace on sri with Bilstein B4 Shocks/Eibach Pro Springs)




Sri

Interior:
Sunglasses holder
Auto dimming mirror
Illuminated sun visors
Indirect night lighting
Rear interior lights
Rear lighter socket
Heated seats – difficult mod?
Electric rear windows – difficult mod?
Auto wipers - – difficult mod?

If your gonna change the springs and add vxr parts I'd buy the Elite for sure! If I had found this site first I would've got an Elite!

Forgot lights! Oh and does anyone have any good comparison pics of exterior. Don't mind adding boot spoiler and front lip but replacing bumpers and skirts with sri items would be a big expensive job.

Not really, the front bumper is the same and you can pick up a rear one cheap as chips on ebay.

I've added in red above the bits you should get as std on an 06 sri, I've certainly got them on my 07 plate which is std to the best of my knowledge.

And dare I say it, theres a lot less to go wrong as the years roll by on an sri
