Default 40k mile service and service light

first off what requires to be done for the 40k mile service

just bought a vectra and it was to be serviced before i picked it up, apparently been done but the service book has not been stamped

so took the service book in to be stamped and picked it up yesterday to find it is not stamped. all they have done is fill in the date and mileage

that brings me onto the next thing, how do you reset the service light? does it have to be done at dealers?

not happy with Arnold Clark service whatsoever!!!!!

Take it back to the Arnold Clark you bought it from
The service should be on their system
The service reset should have been done at the time of the service, but if they are not a VX dealership they probably weren't aware it was on ECOFlex servicing and/or how to do it!

The 40K miles service is :
    oil and filter
    air filter
    pollen filter
    inspect suspension
    wheels off and inspect brakes

i'd go back yet again and ask them to stamp it, it would look like you've filled it in yourself otherwise.
