    Default Suspension

So, got a few deliveries over the last week:

    4 x B4 shocks (LMF)
4 x ARB bushes (front and rear) (VX main dealer)
2 x rear upper control arms (LMF) &
2 x front drop links (ebay)

Hopefully should make a difference to the ride. Cars been very twitchy and very, very bumpy for the past month or so. I expect it has slowly deteriorated for longer than that, it's just I hadn't noticed a big difference all at once.

Anyway, I'm taking the plunge and (with the help of my old man) will be replacing all these parts myself.

He's been under cars for the best part of 40 years so knows his stuff. How long do you think that it'll take me and him to do all the above?

I think we'll probably do the front one day and the rear another but just to gauge it what do you reckon?

Depends on how quick you are with the spanners , although doing it at a steady, non-rushed pace.....

4 x B4 shocks (LMF) - couple of hours, although quite easily less
4 x ARB bushes (front and rear) (VX main dealer) - Not sure.
2 x rear upper control arms (LMF) - 30 mins each side.
2 x front drop links (ebay) - 30 mins each side.

You'll be able to knock some time off areas as you'll already have the car up and wheels off for the front job.

    Story so far:

    Front drop links - Done
    Rear shocks - Done
    Rear ARB bushes - Done

    Still to do:

    Front shocks
    Front ARB bushes
    Rear Control Arms

Incidentally, I don't seem to have notcied any difference in ride quality/crunching when going over speed bumbs or stability... Could it be that this will improve when the new front shocks/rear control arms are fitted?

I was in a mates veccy today (55 plate design) and it felt awesome - smooth and stable. Mine is soooo twitcy and the ride seems rock hard...
