    Question signum / vectra headlights

    hi all just bought a set of black headlights for my siggy off a member on here.

    the lights are in mint condition but the inside part of them moves around....is this common?

    i have sent the seller a pm but thought id raise the question here just in case its normal?

    What inside bit exactly? You haven't bought an AFL version maybe?

    please see picture duncan.....afl? the seller stated they were purchased from LMF.

    If its any help mate, I recently changed my headlamp and sidelight bulbs and was suprised how much the internals of the headlamps can flex around.

    Yep, that's perfectly normal. You'll see that the whole lower section reflector assembly i.e. sidelight/dipped beam part is 'hinged' at the top. That's what allows the alignment/range adjustment to be done.

    I just dug out one of my old chrome headlights I've still got before I changed them to black, and they do exactly what you've described.

    PHEW....i better apologise to the seller

    so is fitting standard then just take old ones out and put new ones in or do i need to do anything special?

    lol, hope you didn't send him a stinking PM initially!

    Yep, basically. You'll need to swap over your range adjustment motors if the new ones came without them. - bit fiddly but I'm sure it's covered in a How 2 - and then get them aligned.

    finally got round to fitting the lights.......unless ive done something really wrong there is something fish about the headlights.

    the passenger side one fits perfect no movment...driver side is rocking like crazy with the motor fitted....this makes the light shine in strange and wonderful directions!

    am i doing something wrong? HELP
