    Cool Decision Time

I think i'm reaching the point with my GSi that it may be time to part company

I really like the car, but it's proving to be a bit unrealiable and as the warrenty is up in September I don't know what to do for the best I brought the car in November last year and the following has already been done to it:

    Replaced rear shocks
    Replaced speedo/rev counter unit
    Replaced cambelt
    Replaced Alternator
Had faults lights reset (twice now)

And now it's got to go back again to get the steering light resolved, front suspension noise and a really anoying engine rattle when reved.

Has anyone else had similar problems with realiabilty or is it just me? As stated above, it's such a shame because I really like the car and as I use it work it's so comfortable.

Just found out that I maybe able to use the Fords employee scheme discount on a new Focus ST, and it's quite tempting. So I really don't know what to do

    Any advice????

Just a thought, you mention the lights reset, dont waste your hard earned at Vx this time if you dont get no joy from my other suggestion, they will just reset it again and send you away, disconnect the battery overnight, should clear everything for you, and you will then have another 14 beer credits to your name.

I bought a new ford in 2000...got rid of it in less than 12 months It was a fiesta zetec and had more things go wrong than acceptable with a new car. (gearbox, clutch, paintwork, carpets, windows, brakes, suspension....)have never been able to fault vauxhall..sounds like youve been a bit unlucky with yours...

sorry to harp on further about fords..(frauds) but when I had my problems the stealer and ford themselves more or less said that all the problems were acceptable and part and parcel of a new ford vehicle ownership... never had that trouble with vx..

Vx is king, I've used Vx cars for 20 yrs now in the taxi trade, nothing is more reliable and cheap to fix than a GM motor
