    Default 3.2 v6 head gasket

hi all, i own a 2003 vectra elite 3.2 v6.noticed creamy/milky substance when removed oil cap but dipstick seems ok.garage reckons its condensation as it only does short journeys,im worried it could be head gasket.still drives smooth ,no misfires.any suggestions.cheers

No mate common on the GSi. Its condensation. You can take the oil neck extension out and bin it. Then just fit the cap as normal. The condensation only accumulates in the neck, so when its gone so is the emulation. HTH

This is a common thing with the 3.2 V6 Yes it most likely is condensation due to short journeys. Do what a lot of us have done and romove the "long" pipe from the top of the engine, (it twists off like the oil filler cap) then replace it with the oil filler cap. Then there will be nothing for the condensation to collect in.

if it isn't overheating, i'd say its probably condensation. bigger engined vehicles - including the 6 cylinder bmw engines produce this substance in the filler cap if you do short journeys. my dads 325i has the 'mayonaise' in the filler cap. there's nothing wrong with it (had it pressure tested) just because he does around 9 miles to and back from work.
